This time, I’d like to share our dining experience at La Table de Lumière, a restaurant inside the Disneyland Hotel where my wife and I stayed a month ago.
A space that feels just like stepping into the world of Beauty and the Beast
As we entered the restaurant, a kind waitress who spoke Japanese greeted us and guided us to a calm, elegant table.
At the center of the restaurant, beneath a glittering chandelier, stood an iconic figure of Belle and the Beast slowly turning in place — creating a truly magical atmosphere that felt as if we had stepped right into the movie itself.

The interior design, the staff’s service, the presentation, and of course, the taste of the dishes — everything was absolutely perfect!
During our meal, the waiter occasionally came by to check on us, and when we told him, “The meal is so amazing,” he smiled and replied cheerfully, “Perfect!” before walking away.
That moment summed up the entire evening perfectly — it was, in every sense of the word, “Perfect.”
My Dishes
Starter: European lobster with avocado, mango and Taggiasca olive tartare, citrus dressing and pomegranate seeds
A luxurious dish featuring European lobster finely diced with avocado, mango, and Taggiasca olives into a tartare. The citrus dressing and the gentle tartness of pomegranate added a refreshing accent, creating a light yet deeply flavorful start.
Its beautiful presentation made it look almost like a piece of art.

Main Course: Roast side of beef of French origin, confit shallots and potato mille-feuille
The main course featured a perfectly roasted French beef, accompanied by sweet confit shallots, delicately layered potato mille-feuille, and seasonal vegetables.
The balance between the richness of the meat and the subtle sweetness of the garnish was exquisite — a classic main dish that combined strength and elegance in every bite.

Dessert: Faisselle with fresh herbs and pink shallots, crisp tuile and pumpkin seed oil
This dessert, based on faisselle (a type of fresh cheese), surprised me at first — it wasn’t sweet at all!
The tangy cheese infused with herbs and shallots, paired with a crispy tuile and a touch of pumpkin seed oil, created a refreshing finish to the meal.
Even though I ordered it without fully understanding the English description (there were just too many French and unfamiliar words!), it turned out to be a perfectly light and fitting way to end the dinner.

Princesses & Princes at Your Table! 👑
One of the most magical features of this restaurant is that Disney Princesses and Princes come around to each table during your meal.
You can take photos with them for free and even enjoy a brief chat — a truly special experience that brings Disney magic right to your seat.
On the day we visited, we were lucky enough to meet three royal couples: Beauty and the Beast, The Little Mermaid, and Snow White!
Having our photo taken with Belle and her Prince right in front of the spinning Beauty and the Beast statue — in a restaurant named after Lumière, no less — was an unforgettable, once-in-a-lifetime moment.

(Though honestly, I wish we could’ve taken one with the Beast too! 😄)
Final Thoughts
Throughout our trip in France, every restaurant we visited offered amazing food,
but La Table de Lumière stood out for both its visual beauty and its exceptional taste.
Dining here felt like stepping straight into the world of Beauty and the Beast,
and meeting the princesses and princes made the experience even more magical.
Even if you’re not a hardcore Disney fan, it’s hard not to be moved by such a dreamlike moment.
Both my wife and I are huge fans of Beauty and the Beast, and this dinner — surrounded by the movie’s enchanting atmosphere — was without question one of the highlights of our entire trip.
If you’re staying at the Disneyland Hotel, don’t miss the chance to experience this unforgettable dining magic!
Au revoir! ✨
