Bonjour!
This time, I’d like to share one of the experiences I was most looking forward to on our trip: dining at Bistrot Chez Rémy.
This restaurant faithfully recreates the world of Pixar’s Ratatouille, offering a unique experience that makes you feel as if you’ve actually become Remy himself. Since it exists only at Disneyland Paris, it’s a must for fans of the movie, as well as for anyone who simply wants to taste authentic French cuisine!

The World of Bistrot Chez Rémy
The moment you step inside, it feels like you’ve walked right into a scene from the movie. Giant cutlery and oversized ingredients surround you—champagne corks serve as chairs, and jam jar lids become tables.
Remy’s cookbook decorates the walls, while cocktail umbrellas, tin cans, and sweets appear as giant props. Every detail is carefully designed, immersing guests in the story’s world. Dining here truly makes you feel like you’re viewing the human world from a rat’s perspective—this is the restaurant’s greatest charm.

A Must-Book! Why It’s So Popular
Reservations can be made on the official website or app starting two months in advance. Because it’s extremely popular, booking early is essential. Occasionally, you might get lucky with a same-day cancellation, but if you want to guarantee a spot, advance reservations are highly recommended.
They also cater to a wide range of dietary needs, including vegetarian and allergen-free options, so you can dine with peace of mind.
Savoring Exquisite French Cuisine
The dishes far exceeded our expectations in both appearance and taste. We ordered two starters and two mains, each showcasing the chef’s skill in authentic French cuisine. (Ah, we really should have ordered dessert, too!)
<Starters>
- My choice: Seasonal Soup
A comforting soup blending herbs with the flavor of Laughing Cow cheese. Since we hadn’t encountered many restaurants in France that offered soup, I couldn’t resist ordering it. - My wife’s choice: Mimosa Salad
The sweetness of roasted walnuts and pears, rich Roquefort cheese, and a perfectly soft poached egg created a wonderful balance. The tangy homemade dressing tied everything together. However, since Roquefort is a strong blue cheese, and neither of us realized that when ordering, it wasn’t quite to our taste. If you don’t like blue cheese, you might want to avoid this dish.

<Mains>
- My choice: Roast Cod with Ratatouille, Mashed Potatoes, and Isigny PDO Beurre Blanc Sauce
A perfect combination: ratatouille, the star of the movie, smooth and buttery mashed potatoes, and cod roasted to perfection—crispy on the outside and tender inside.
What is Isigny PDO Beurre Blanc Sauce?
- Beurre Blanc Sauce: A traditional sauce from the Loire Valley, made by reducing white wine and shallots, then slowly emulsifying cold butter into the mixture. The result is creamy, rich, and an excellent match for fish dishes.
- Isigny PDO: Butter from the Isigny region in Normandy, renowned for its dairy products. PDO (Protected Designation of Origin) means only butter and cream produced here can carry the name, guaranteeing top quality.
- My wife’s choice: Plant-Based Meatballs with Vegetable Stew
The herb-infused plant-based meatballs were surprisingly juicy, and the dish was packed with vegetables. It was healthy yet satisfying.

A Must for Fans of the Movie
If you visit right after riding Ratatouille: The Adventure, the experience becomes even more magical.
It was truly a dreamlike moment that can only be experienced in Paris. If you’re visiting Disneyland Paris, don’t miss Bistrot Chez Rémy—it’s the perfect place to enjoy authentic French cuisine while immersing yourself in the world of the film.
Until next time — Au revoir!
